One of our portfolio companies (Vienna, Austria based) is seeking a hands-on, results-oriented marketing & sales leader with an enthusiasm for high-tech and experience in a technology related field. The Director of Sales & Marketing will work closely with the CEO and be a key member of the portfolio company's leadership team. You will be responsible for developing and executing a well-defined international business, marketing, sales and communications strategy that supports attracting new customers, consistent business growth, increased visibility, and the strategic vision of the company.
A VC-backed and fast-growing Augmented Reality company based in Vienna, Austria & Palo Alto, California. We develop next-generation laser beam scanners for a global customer base manufacturing the AR/VR/MR head-mounted displays of the future.
What you'll do
You will be the key person responsible for our global marketing & sales efforts.
- Customer relationship management: You'll build and implement a communication strategy to educate and excite prospects, customers, and employees. The key is to maintain and improve relationships with our clients.
- Generate new opportunities: You will map potential customers and generate leads for the organization.
- Collaborate with the technical team: You will collaborate with the product development team & technical team to integrate the marketing & sales vision into product roadmaps and vice versa. You'll solve problems through cooperation with other groups in the company.
- Business development: You will grow and enhance the demand generation strategy for our technology including contact acquisition in relevant markets. You will help to plan our future direction and strategy based on the insights you will generate from our customers.
- Build up a sales & marketing team: You will build up our sales & marketing team to ensure that our company has the necessary people, skills and technical talents needed to reach our goals. You'll be responsible for setting up a sales & marketing team to ensure we are on target for our objectives as the company grows.
- Brand management & promotion: You will create and advertise our excellent brand and sell it as well. Our common goal is to create the best value proposition for our customers at all times.
Who you are
- You have a long-standing experience in a B2B marketing and/or sales role in a technology related field with an inspiring track record.
- You have knowledge and enthusiasm for highly technological hardware products and engineering services.
- You have prior experience or a good understanding of the business development in entrepreneurial companies with respect to the growth trajectory and scaling.
- You have excellent verbal/communications skills and a thoughtful, persuasive personal style.
- You're comfortable developing and leading projects independently with little to no direction. You're capable of balancing multiple priorities and deadlines while being adaptable to the changing needs of the business.
